guess whom did i meet yesterday?
robin uthappa!
i was with a bunch of friends in a cafe and we were about to leave, while one of the guys spotted him and said:
"hey, i think that guy looks like robin uthappa"
after a closer examination, we figured out it was actually robin uthappa! he was sitting in a corner place, facing away from the crowd, probably because he did not want to get recognized.
now, a friend wanted to get an autograph from him, but was too scared, or rather shy, to go and ask for it on her own! so, i just went along with her to give her company! (how silly!)
anyway, we walked up to him, and she asked him for an autograph. i noticed that he looked a lot bigger than what he looks on the televison. (i thought i'd tell him that, but realized it would be quite stupid of me to do so!) so she got the autograph, and he had signed:
GOD BLESS :-)
ROBIN
and just before we're about to leave, i asked him if i could shake hands with him. he at one extended his arm! wow! i wished him "all the best" and walked off!
well, i don't really know if i had spoilt his evening for him. maybe after seeing us take an autograph, more people would have figured out that he was there and trouble him for more autographs! i just hope it wouldn't have happened.
but for me, it definitely is a moment that i'll remember for a long time!
