You Can’t See Me!

Say you are walking and you are accompanying a bunch of other guys. You happen to see a friend coming in the other direction, but your friend can not see you!

Say you are walking alone, and you see your friend coming in the other direction – this time, alone. Now your friend can see you!

Say you are walking alone, and you see your friend coming in the other direction – this time around, with a bunch of their friends. Your friend can not see you again!

Say you are walking with a bunch of guys who are also friends with this friend, you see coming in the other direction. Your friend can not see you again! They see the guys ahead of you, and behind you – but not you!

Ah, funny world!

I was wondering what the crap was all this about, and I think I have finally found the answer! My friend is playing this game called You Can’t See Me! The rules are simple – you just choose not to recognise your friend, except when you meet them alone!

And you know what? Although I have started late, I think I am getting really good at playing this game, and it looks like I am winning! And my prize is a lost friend!

I read somewhere that it is sometimes important to loose friends to realise how important they really are. Let me go mourn my loss!

Crap! I should stop reading philosophy!

Lottery

Have you guys ever received any emails from some philanthropic organisation saying that you have won, like crap-loads of cash, just because the organisation happened to pick out your email address – randomly from crap-loads of other email addresses; but you guys would have to send them some postage fees or whatever bull-crap so that they could transfer all the booty to you?

I am sure you have.

The other day, we guys happened to discuss about this stuff. The topic came up because one of the guys mentioned about an awareness advertisement aired by the government that he watched on the television. I was surprised to learn that the government did this, but it kind of strengthened my belief that more than 60% of all Indians are absolute morons! Um, I am digressing!

Anyway, talking about this reminded me about this stuff that happened a long time ago. A friend had received one such email, and it looked quite authentic to her. And the cash prize she was winning was not ridiculously high for her to disbelieve the email. So she forwarded that email to me, and here is the conversation that followed.

She: Check it out, what do you think?

Me: Wow! It looks real!

She: It is a lot of money!

Me: Yeah I know!

She: I do not know what I would do with all this money!

Me: You could get anything you want!

She: Yeah!

Me: Man, you can pick up all the clothes you want, all the jewellery, shoes, a car! Wow!

She: Yeah, I know!

Me: Hey, can I ask you something?!

She: Yeah.

Me: In case you are really winning all that money – Will you marry me?!

She: Silence!

Me: Is that a ‘yes’?!

She: Click!

Damn, she hung up just as I was planning my retirement through the conversation!

Eyes Open

I do not really know how much time has passed by since this stupid cloud has been hovering in front of me. I mean, it has been quite hard to look at anything clearly and as a result things have gotten really screwed up.

But then, life is not always supposed to be a bed of roses, right? Things do go wrong, and you have got to deal with your problems, fix it and get along. And that is exactly what I have done!

I have got myself glasses – and I can see clearly now!
