How a jet engine works

Yeah, you read it right! The title does read ‘How a jet engine works’.

If you are wondering as to why on earth I would want to talk about the working of a jet engine – you are going to be very surprised! The best part is – it would take you less than two minutes to figure out the process and chances are you would never ever forget the working principle! So enough with the nonsense, and let us just get to it!

Um before I get into it, there is something else I have to say. Actually, this was brought to my notice by this friend – who is capable of twisting absolutely anything he comes across, into a something that sounds dirty! Here is an example:

He: Ashwin, do you know what a cockpit is?

Okay, you have to know this too – When he asks you a question, he does not expect you to answer him. He just wants you to ask him whatever the crap it means! So, I do the same!

Me: What?

He: A cockpit is a pit for keeping the cocks!

If you were to notice the grin on his face, you would be dead certain that the ‘cock’ he was referring to is not an adult male chicken! So, you get the gist, right?! If you did not get it – well, either you are too damn innocent, or just plain dumb! Personally, I would put my money on the latter!

Anyhow, I guess it is about time I get back to the point! Here is a picture which explains the stages. Do click on it to see the enlarged image!

Now, did you ever happen to think that the jet engine was having so much fun?!

Sometimes

Sometimes, speaking the truth is not necessarily the best option.

Sometimes, it is better to say nothing, than say anything at all.

Sometimes, people do not really want to hear the truth – no matter how much they insist that they do.

Sometimes, the people whom you trust the most – are the very ones who bring you the greatest sorrow.

Sometimes, you realise that things are a lot different from what they used to be.

Sometimes, you are forced to do things that you do not necessarily like.

Sometimes, you say things that you do not really mean.

Sometimes, you question the existence of God.

Sometimes, you do not see the things that are right in front of you.

Sometimes, you need to break the rules you have set for yourself.

Sometimes, you realise that it is best for you to let go.

Sometimes, you are wrong even when you are right.

Sometimes, you loose friends.

Sometimes, it is okay for you to cry.

Sometimes, people lie.

Sometimes, you screw up.

Sometimes, you write crap like this when you have nothing else to write about!

Misinterpretations

Is it not funny, how a few words could be misinterpreted and cause a lot of embarrassment?

There are these days when we guys talk about absolute trivial crap, just for the heck of it. On one such day, a friend and I were having such a conversation.

He: Your shirt is not pressed properly.

Me: Yeah dude, but who cares?

He: Maybe you should give it to your babe. And then she would press it for you!

Me: Yeah right! She has her ways to get things done; so she would probably give them to you – and then she would get them pressed by you!

Another friend came by, just as I was saying that crap. Unfortunately for me, he had no idea we were talking about pressing shirts! His jaws just dropped and he looked at me in immense astonishment!

He: Ashwin, how disgusting!
